Norfolk Bay Convict Station

Historic Bed & breakfast accommodation on the Tasman Peninsula

This absolute waterfront property is centrally located on an acre block in Taranna on the Tasman Peninsula. We are 7 kilometres south of Eaglehawk Neck and 10 kilometres north of Port Arthur on the Tasman Peninsula and we overlook Norfolk Bay. We are located just off the Arthur Highway at 5862 Arthur Highway in Taranna - look for the jetty in Taranna - we are just opposite it!

Allow at least 1.5 hours to enjoy the scenic drive from Hobart to Port Arthur. The drive along the Tasman and Arthur Highways forms part of the Convict Trail Touring Route - watch out for yellow convict arrow markers indicating places of historic interest worth visiting.

The route along the Arthur Highway takes in breathtaking seascapes, passing through rolling farmlands and little villages, past vineyards and sweeping bays.

A regular bus service run by Tassie Link connects Hobart with the Tasman Peninsula daily but you really need a car to be able to fully explore the area.
